顾老师今天提出了一个很有意思的问题，在wwdc的宣传页中出现了一段话introducing Apple intelligence, Al for the rest of us. 这句话后半部分的中文翻译如何都想不通，也没有WWDC的中文页面能够对照参考，the rest of us究竟是指什么含义。使用Google翻译出来的结果是：对我们其余人来说，这是 Al。 很明显这不是Apple所想表达的含义，更加下意识的含义使用AI for all.感觉更加贴切。

又翻了一下WWDC当场的keynote，终于在快结束的时候看到了这句话，打开简体中文的字幕翻译，Craig说的是：这是适用于我们每个人的AI。 这更加让人疑惑了，明明和 the rest of us 完全搭不上边。或许是某种英文习惯于是借用搜索引擎进行搜索，但是结果与宣传语中的含义并不搭边。在Hinative中有人解释这个含义依旧是：

The rest of us - for any reason, you include yourself into the others

The others - you don’t include yourself at all

于是只能更改搜索for the rest of us 没想到结果给了我惊喜，在stackexchange中有人对一篇2010年标题为 The iPad Review For The Rest of Us 中的 the rest of us 提出了相同的问题，下面的解答我引用如下：

You could replace for the rest of us with the idioms

• in layman’s terms
• for the common man
• for the average joe

和

Thus, “for the rest of us” could also mean that something’s been made so that it is easily usable for the rest of the people who aren’t up in the skies in programming or knowledge (like me.)

那么事情似乎就霍然开朗了，Apple 也许想传达的本意就是这个AI工具与其他跟偏向于供给the people who aren’t up in the skies in programming or knowledge 的不同之处，他们的本意是除了这些专业的人以外，AI将会更加普惠到其余的人，透过集成进他们家系统的方式来进行。因此在中文的翻译是适用于每个人的AI。不知英语为母语的观众会不会同样对这个表述感到疑惑呢？
